ONLY ONE 動かない動物園 ・にこのいえ動物園

川西能勢口駅から南へおよそ400メートル。
このあたりは、かつて個人商店が立ち並んでいた、下町らしい風情の残る地域です。

そんな街角に突然現れる、「動かない動物たち」。
こちらは、ONLY ONE小花苑マンションの敷地の一角にある“動かない動物園”、
「ONLY ONE にこのいえ動物園」です。

About 400 meters south of Kawanishi-Noseguchi Station,
you’ll find a neighborhood with a charming, old-town atmosphere,
where small, family-run shops once lined the streets.

In the midst of this nostalgic area suddenly appears a group of “motionless animals.”
This is the “ONLY ONE Nikonoie Zoo,” a unique, stationary zoo located at the corner of the ONLY ONE Obanaen apartment complex.

マンションの1階は「小花にこのいえ保育園」になっており、
園の子供たちや、通学路を帰宅途中の小学生たちのよい遊び相手になってくれています。

On the ground floor of the apartment building is the Obana Nikonoie Nursery School.
The zoo serves as a delightful play area not only for the children at the nursery, but also for elementary school students on their way home from school.

現在この動物園で飼育されている動物は、以下の通りです。

  • ゴリラ: 1頭
  • トラ: 2頭
  • カンガルー: 1頭
  • サイ: 1頭
  • 鹿: 1頭
  • ドッグ: 1匹
  • ウサギ: 4匹
  • カピバラ: 1匹
  • ハリネズミ: 1匹
  • 恐竜: 1頭

As of April 25, 2025, the zoo is home to the following animals

  • Gorilla: 1
  • Tigers: 2
  • Kangaroo: 1
  • Rhinoceros: 1
  • Deer: 1
  • Dog: 1
  • Rabbits: 4
  • Capybara: 1
  • Hedgehog: 1
  • Dinosaur: 1

ちょうど今は、園内の植栽につつじが咲き始め、鮮やかな赤い花が動物たちの周囲を彩っていました。
写真撮影をしていたところ、帰宅途中の男子小学生が「ここのゴリラ、めっちゃイケメンやで！」と話しかけてくれました。
たしかに、よく見ると他の動物園のゴリラと比べても、凛々しく賢そうな顔立ちをしています。
子どもたちがしっかり観察してくれていることに、思わずほっこりしました。

At the moment, the red azaleas in the garden are in bloom, adding a lovely touch of color to the zoo.
While taking photos, a young boy walking home from school said with a smile,
“That gorilla is super handsome!”

And indeed, compared to gorillas at other zoos, this one has a dignified and intelligent-looking face.
It’s heartwarming to see how observant children can be.

少し話はそれますが、「にこのいえ保育園」の先生方には、
これまでに2度、ONLY ONE主催のイベントにご参加いただいています。
ご覧になった方もいらっしゃるかもしれませんが、
A.ギターとE.ピアノの生演奏に合わせた楽しい歌のステージは、
会場の子どもたちにも大変好評で、大いに盛り上がりました。

On a related note, staff members from the Nikonoie Nursery School have participated in two events hosted by ONLY ONE in the past.
If you happened to attend, you might recall a lively performance featuring vocals accompanied by acoustic guitar and electric piano.
The children in the audience were absolutely thrilled and had a great time.
