ONLY ONE 動かない動物園 ・中央町

川西市役所のすぐ近く。
市役所通りから西に伸びる通りを入ったところに、
ジャングルに見立てられたマンションの植栽スペースで
動物たちが並んでお出迎えしてくれています。

Just a stone’s throw from Kawanishi City Hall,
there’s a little side street stretching west from City Hall Street.
Follow it, and you’ll find a lush garden space in front of a condo,
designed to feel like a jungle—complete with a lineup of adorable animals to greet you.

ここはONLY ONE川西中央Iのマンション前。
限られたスペースに動物たちがお行儀よく整列し、
来訪者を癒してくれます。

Welcome to the front of the “ONLY ONE Kawanishi Chuo I” condominium.
In this compact space, the animals are neatly arranged,
ready to charm and soothe anyone who passes by.

この園で暮らす動物たちは、
・キリン　1頭
・ゴリラ　１頭
・ゾウ　２頭
・コアラ　１匹
・ウサギ　２匹（２羽？）
・アンパンマン　１人（？）
・ドキンちゃん　１人（？）
（2025年4月24日現在。展示している動物は時折入れ替えをしています）

そして、さらにもう1頭。
マンション1階のお寿司屋さん「さかなの大将」の入口前には、
金色のゴリラが堂々とお店を守っています。

So, who lives in this little zoo?

1 giraffe
1 gorilla
2 elephants
1 koala
2 rabbits
1 Anpanman
1 Dokin-chan (yes, really)
(*As of April 24, 2025. The animal figures are occasionally rotated.)

And there’s one more:
In front of the sushi restaurant “Sakana no Taisho” on the ground floor,
a golden gorilla stands proudly, guarding the entrance.

ちょっと話はそれますが、
この「さかなの大将」、昼と夜の二部営業制で、
お昼は握り寿司の定食などランチメニュー、
夜はお寿司に加えてお酒や一品料理も楽しめる、
おいしくてコスパもばっちりのお店なんです。

Speaking of which, Sakana no Taisho operates on a two-part schedule—
for lunch, they serve set meals featuring hand-pressed sushi,
and in the evening, you can enjoy not just sushi, but drinks and tasty side dishes, too.
Delicious, affordable, and definitely worth a visit!
